Rixos Premium Belek has been deemed worthy of the “White Flag” by officials of the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, the Department of Food Engineering of Akdeniz University, ATSO and the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.

Rixos Premium Belek, whose compliance with all food safety criteria has been certified, was deemed worthy of the White Flag Award as a result of these inspections at the meeting of the Antalya Province Food Safety Action Board held on 29 September 2011.
Tansel Tercan, General Manager of the Rixos Premium Belek Hotel, said: “We worked to attain the highest standards in food safety; as with the other structural elements, we never compromised on safety and hygiene in food either. We received this award by carrying out the necessary infrastructure work for this and also by ensuring the continuity of staff training. I am proud of my team.”
What is the White Flag?
The White Flag Project aims to certify and reward food businesses that make a special effort above the minimum technical and hygienic conditions specified in food legislation, to announce them to the public, and thereby to encourage the other businesses in the sector to create better conditions as well. Within the scope of the White Flag project, the inspection team examines whether a high level of food safety conditions exists at the businesses that apply; each sector is assessed in its own category and a decision is reached.
