Pegas sponsors excavation project born from Tansel Tercan’s idea

Pegas Touristik Kazakhstan and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University signed a sponsorship agreement in Astana to support archaeological research in the Yerementau region. The signing ceremony, held at Rixos President Astana, was attended by Anıl Aksema, General Manager of Pegas Touristik Kazakhstan, and, on behalf of the university, project leader Prof. Lyalya Mutalieva and professors of archaeology and ethnography.

Tansel Tercan, General Manager of Rixos President Astana, took part in the ceremony as the originator of the project idea. Aksema said they aimed to contribute to tourism in the countries where they operate and to help pass cultural heritage on to future generations. The cooperation also envisages internship and employment opportunities for the university’s tourism students.
