A conference on “Al-Farabi and the Spiritual Traditions of the Turkic Peoples” was held on 4-5 April 2022 at the Scientific Library of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty. The event took place under the joint auspices of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Education and Science and the university, as part of the International Farabi Forum.
According to the conference programme, Nurfer Tercan was among the speakers as a doctoral student of the university’s Department of Philosophy. Her presentation, titled “Affect, emotion and subjectivity in al-Farabi’s philosophy of music”, was scheduled for the first session on the afternoon of 4 April, which was devoted to Farabi and the philosophical foundations of Turkic-Islamic civilisation.
