Students of group RDGB-223 in the restaurant and hotel business programme of the Kazakh University of Technology and Business (KazTBU) presented three event concepts they had prepared at the Rixos President Astana hotel. The projects were the children-oriented “Rixos Castle”, the Eastern-themed “1001 Nights” and the nostalgic “Retro Party”.
According to the university’s report, Dr. Nurfer Tercan, a lecturer at the Department of Tourism and Service, helped the students turn their ideas into reality and contributed to the preparation of the projects. At the end of the presentation the hotel’s general manager, Tansel Tercan, handed the students letters of guarantee, and the hotel management made them a job offer.
