The second branch of the Department of Sociology of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) has opened at the Rixos President Astana hotel in Astana. Sociologists will carry out research for businesses there, run joint scientific projects and give students practical training. Rector Yerlan Sydykov noted that the university has 74 department branches across the country.
Speaking at the opening, Tansel Tercan, General Manager of Rixos President Astana, said the service sector must be backed by qualified human resources and that human-to-human service matters everywhere in the world. Tercan stated that the cooperation with ENU, which began in 2017, has grown stronger and that the shared goal is to train professional staff for the country’s economy.
