Fârâbî’s work on music, “Kitâbu’l-Mûsîka’l-Kebîr”, has been published in Turkish by Memfis Yayınları under the title “Müzik Sanatının Büyük Kitabı” (The Great Book of the Art of Music). The translation was made by Nurfer Tercan and Abdullah Kızılcık. In booksellers’ records the work is listed with 440 pages, ISBN 9786259783666 and a print date of September 2025.
According to the promotional information, the work is regarded as the first book on music written in Arabic in the Turkic world and is counted among the important works of Turkic-Islamic cultural heritage. The Turkish translation of the text, previously rendered into Western languages, is offered to readers in complete form for the first time with this edition.
