At the Mediterranean Festival, local artists and oil wrestlers met foreign guests.
At the Mediterranean Festival held at Rixos Premium Belek, the region’s distinctive food culture, its folk dances, local artists and oil wrestlers met foreign guests. The colourful event, held among Yörük tents, was received with interest by foreign tourists, and it was announced that events of this kind would continue at the resort throughout the summer. Rixos Premium General Manager Tansel Tercan said, “Our aim is to introduce the foreign guests who come to our hotel to Türkiye’s customs and traditions and its culture. That is why we bring the cuisine, artists and traditions of the Belek region together with our guests through the summer festivals we hold every month in our hotel’s garden.” The tourists, who watched the oil wrestling show with excitement at the Mediterranean Festival held at the hotel, did not neglect to taste the products of the local cuisine either. The villagers who took part in the festival, which continued with folk dances and a charity bazaar, also served gözleme and ayran in the Yörük tent they had set up. Mustafa Kuş, President of the Serik Yörüks Association, also attended the event.
